Affiliate Disclosure

Short version (for use at the top of any page with affiliate links)

Some links on this page are affiliate links. Compatibility verdicts are derived from published specifications, not from commission rates.

Amazon Associates identification statement

Amazon requires this exact sentence on any site carrying Amazon Associates links. It is shown at the top of every page on this Site that contains an Amazon link:

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

eBay Partner Network identification statement

The identification statement required if this Site carries eBay Partner Network links. It is shown at the top of every page on this Site that contains an eBay link, for as long as that link is present:

As a member of the eBay Partner Network, we may earn a commission from qualifying transactions made through eBay links on this page.

Disclosure shown beside purchase links

Repeated immediately above every block of retailer links, so that the disclosure sits next to the links themselves and not only at the top of a long page:

We may earn a commission if you purchase through these links.

Full disclosure

This website (the "Site") is operated by a company established in Japan. In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (as revised in 2023), we disclose the following:

This site does not currently carry affiliate links. We are not currently a member of the Amazon Associates Program, the eBay Partner Network, or any other affiliate program, and no outbound link on this Site currently earns us a commission. If we join an affiliate programme in future, this page will be updated before any such link appears.

This does not change what we list

Compatibility verdicts (Fits / Fits with conditions / Does not fit / Unverified) are derived solely from published specifications and the confidence rating assigned to each source — never from which retailer pays a higher commission, which product is in stock, or which link we happen to have available. We do not accept payment from any manufacturer or retailer in exchange for a favorable listing, verdict, or placement. If we do not have a qualifying affiliate link for a product, we still list it in the database with a note that no purchase link is currently available, rather than omitting it or substituting an unrelated product.

How to identify affiliate links

Any outbound link on this Site to a retailer with which we have an active affiliate relationship is an affiliate link and is marked with the sponsored link attribute in the page's HTML. The disclosures above are shown at the top of any page containing such a link, before the link itself appears, and are repeated immediately above each block of retailer links. If this Site does not currently carry affiliate links, no outbound link on it carries that attribute for that reason.

Data compiled independently of commercial relationships

All compatibility data — power supply requirements, physical clearances, slot types, VRAM requirements — is compiled from manufacturer specification sheets and other sources documented on our Methodology page. Any affiliate relationship we have, or may enter into in future, has no bearing on this underlying data.
